Well first of all you want to always keep your car tuned up. It is a very simple thing to do.  But it is a procedure that will help your car last longer.  In my Escondido auto repair shop I always encourage my clients to bring their car in for tune ups.It is not because I want to make more money.But for them to save a lot of money on repairs. 

Another thing I always encourage is to always do oil changes. Doing this simple task will go a long way.It will enable the engine to run smoother and it can also make it last longer.Think of the oil as your car’s blood.It won’t be able to survive just like a person that is losing a lot of blood.  A car running low on oil can severely damage the engine.  I have seen it too many times where customers brought in a burnt out engine into my Oceanside auto repair shop.And the reason for this is just due to low oil levels.  So be smart and change your oil regularly.

Finally I always tell my clients to watch out for their transmission.Just like the engine, the transmission is one part of the car that can also cost you a lot of money when replacing it.But making it last is an easy thing to do. You just need to take care of it regularly.  In my transmission repair shop I always tell my clients to check their transmission fluid.Letting the levels go so low can ruin their transmission.
